From Perth to Geraldton

Hi buddies,

We are now in Geraldton, we lived Perth 3 days ago and temperatures are becoming warmer!



The firt day was a little bit special, it was my (Nico) birthday!
A day like another one, just having dinner with sunset beach view!
3 blokes were listening techno music and drinking beers, so after dinner, we decided to leave to find another place where spending the night.

Helene was washing the dishes, i was putting our stuff in the van.

when a man, about 40 yo: Hey buddy, do you want a beer?

Me: Sorry, i can't... (I'm not sick, it's just that i'm a learner driver and i can't drink and the plan was to take the road to find a place where to sleep, anyway...)

Him: You're backpacker? Your van is cool, how much you paid it?... blablabla...
You got a lot of rust, if you want, i can help you to paint it for FREE. You can sleep in my backyard and tomorrow i'll help you to paint it.

Me: ('Tilt'), i have to check with my girlfriend, i let you know later.

Helene was coming back thinking to herself: 'Nico is always speeking to strange people'
I told her about the offer, and she told me banco!
So we're now drinking beers and listening techno whith the 3 guys...

15 min after, a woman came from nowhere and without saying a word, she started to close all the doors, she threw the beers in the back, and left with the car!
It was his wife, she tried to call him but he never answered and she needed the car to go pick up the kids...

Few minutes after 3 vans arrived, that was German backpackers, so we started to talk with them and spend the night with them, it was nice.

The day after, we're sleeping when someone knocked at the window...That was a ranger : He told us that we're not allow to "camp" here and blablablabla....

After breakfast, we took the road with a stop in Yanchep national park, where we saw koalas!







And straight to Lancelin because we met an Australian one week before and he told us that it was there where starwars was recorded...

Nice place, where i got my birthday present (a hot shower in a a caravan park :) and a night in a free camp area where no ranger can disturbe you at 6:30 am...

There we met other french backpackers and a french tourist couple from reunion island and we spend the day after with them.



There were much better organized than us and they knew exctly what to do in the area: Pinnacles desert!







That was just amazing...



We stayed there until the sunset and decided to drive 160km until the next free camp area thinking it's better to drive now so tomorrow we can sleep longer.
==> Error! It was not the case because they were some roadworks just 3 meters from our van :( .

Anyway.. We are now in Geraldton where we found a perfect spot to sleep (after another ranger woke us up again): the port! Rangers cannot say nothing because it's under another jurisdiction ;)

Vous êtes de vrais aventuriers. Nous suivons avec beaucoup d'attention et un peu d'envie votre voyage En France pas de problème particulier à part la pluie, on attend toujours le Printemps mais en vain!!! Profitez bien du soleil. Bises à vous deux
